Welcome back my dearest readers. Here we are in late March, and I definitely missed two weeks of posts. I don’t have an excuse, but an explanation. I know that within each and every person who I encounter and each of you readers, we all have our own demons. And It think that most of us know where our mental demons come from.
And I know where mine are. But, that doesn’t mean I always have the upper hand against them. It’s embarrassing, but I let some of the old ones get the better of me for the past week or so. That was also something I had barely been holding off for about the past month or so. I wouldn’t say I’m ‘back’ to my normal self. It does feel that maybe I’m 60-70% percent back, because it is like some sort of huge cloud finally got blown away from over me.
Will There Be Changes?
Yes, and no. This blog has always been a hobby of mine, and I don’t have plans to either monetize it or treat it like a business. I still plan to write, and I am hoping to get back to my usual schedule of weekly posts as soon as I am able. In that way, there will not be changes.
However, I am going to be pushing my visual arts back into more of a hobby direction and there will not be any plans for the foreseeable future for me to vend at in-person events. This is because I recently signed a long-term contract with one of my freelance writing clients. This contract guarantees me 2.5-3x the income I was making from my visual arts vending a year. It also requires a lot less personal monetary investment into merchandise production. So it’s a no-brainer choice for my second income source.
Thus, my web shop is now the only way to actually get any of my art for the foreseeable future, unless I happen to know you outside of the matrix. In addition, I have also been asked to join several large freelancing TTRPG projects the size of which I have never written on before. So my dance card is pretty full this year in addition to my day job.
Other Thoughts
Dearest readers, I am not going to get into a sob story about my personal demons. And I don’t want people to worry too much. Rather, I hope all of you homies do heal from the things that you don’t talk about, or that you do talk about. And I hope that all of our inner nightmares become only weaker with time.
I’m hoping that as my physical and mental health both improve that I will be able to explore more of this strange world with you all.
