Inspired by the tradition of Japanese Omamori and the magical correspondences of plants, each illustration in this series was created with a specific form of well-wishing in mind. Amaranth grants healing, invisibility, and protection against bullets. Barberry is used in cleansing, as well as freeing oneself from the power and control of another. Blue Violets encourage fortune and luck changing for the better, good fortune, and also protect against evil. Buckthorn is used to drive away enchantements, and increase luck related to legal matters. Acorns are traditionally used for good luck, protection, wisdom, personal power, and for scaring the police.
