Lukewarm Takes: Starseeds

Oh boy, it’s time for another Lukewarm Takes. Also known as takes that should not be hot, because they seem like total common sense when you start following the money or know a scam when you see one.

Basic Beliefs

According to Wikipedia, Star Seeds (or Indigo Children) believe that they are hybrids of ‘normal’ Earth Humans (Earth Souls) and aliens. There are different kinds of Starseeds, which are organized and described based on where in space they originated from. These are a bit of a deviation from your traditional ‘hybrid’ in that they are ‘walk ins’ or souls that entered human bodies and not genetic hybrids.

There is a subset that may or may not believe they are linked to genepools that did mingle with aliens. (Wikipedia)

Starseeds are meant to ‘raise the consciousness’ of humanity as a whole and are ‘light workers’ who serve a cosmic destiny to guide humanity. But, before they can do that they have to go through a process called ‘Awakening.’

Starseeds are said to feel like they ‘don’t belong’ or are ‘highly intuitive’ and ‘have powers they cannot explain.’ What is very amusing is that this is a set of characteristics that are often used by Otherkin, Dimensional Shifters, and pretty much any other ‘More Special Than You’ membership club. And, like many of these clubs, you can pay to have a Starseed reading and get confirmation that you, indeed, are more special than anyone else, in return for your Earthly currencies.

You, too, could have your very own Chat GPT Generated ‘Portrait’.

But, things get a little dicy when you realize that believing you are from a ‘special race’ of beings better than all others sounds a lot like re-skinned racial supremacy. Also, the ‘bad guys’ of the Starseed lore are LIZARD PEOPLE. You know, the dogwhistle for Jewish people.

History

First off, let’s get real. People claim the ‘evidence’ of Starseeds interfering with humans is that non-whites could build things. That is literally it. They say ‘Oh EgYPTians COULD eNEv3r’ or ‘The MayANS COulD NEVER’ and that is literally what they take for scientific evidence.

An early version of theorized Starseeds also could be identified as ‘Knights of the Solar Cross’—which is also known as a Swastika.

Amber Smith does a better job than I could explaining the bizarre crunchy granola to Alt Right Qanon Starseed pipeline. Jules Evans also has a rather complete article, but it is behind a membership wall.

Starseed progenitor aliens are almost always described as ‘very, very pale.’ Even to this day.

Current Issues

Many Starseeds claim they have no time to waste on ‘low vibrational things’ such as…racial injustice and politics. You know, stuff of ‘lower beings.’ HMMMMM. Y’all picking up what I’m putting down? So they just don’t have time to actually…ascend humanity past this particular weakness? FASCINATING.

Plenty of those who claim to be Starseeds seem to be generally fine people who aren’t conspiracists who tried to overthrow the government. But, the minority who are off their gourd and far into the Alt-Right Pipeline are far too vocal and loud for the public good. In many cases, it is used as either a scam to get vulnerable people to spend their money or a scam to get vulnerable, alienated people to join the Alt-Right.

Replying to @pythianpriestess Are Starseed problematic? 💫 Anything can be corrupted. That is what happened here. An idea got taken and mixed with politics and science fiction to create #reptilians the idea of Starseeds are NOT inherently evil #starseeds #spirituality #spiritualtok #occulttok #realwitchtok #sirianstarseed #lyranstarseed #pledianstarseed #historytok #theosophy

In Conclusion:

There are gatekeepers and people who want to be More Special Than Everyone Else in every corner of the occult world. What is more goofy about these people is that they are under the mistaken impression that their made-up stuff is somehow more legitimate than all other made-up stuff. A dangerous number of them seem to lack empathy in general, seeing everyone else as lesser creatures who they have the moral green-light to exploit.

I am not saying that all Starseeds or Starseed believers are bad. I am just saying that it’s another section of the Occult Community that is filled with White Supremacy and Scam Businesses—and it pays to be wary. Those of you who believe yourself to be Starseeds, try to play nice with everyone else.
